九十年代初，華中地區貧窮家庭賣血賺錢情況嚴重，「血槳經濟」帶來愛滋病火速漫延，在河南，九成愛滋病感染者都因賣血感染病毒，一些村落，成年人口感染率達到四成至六成。 愛滋病病毒潛伏期長，十幾年後，感染者陸續發病，許多病人死去，遺下了大批愛滋遺屬，年齡大部分介乎三十至四十五歲，隨著他們的相繼病逝，愛滋寡婦、愛滋鰥夫、愛滋孤兒問題開始浮出水面。 在內地，愛滋病依然是一個讓人不能活在陽光底下的病毒，扣上一個在外人眼裡充滿恐佈的符號 ─ 愛滋家屬，他們是怎樣生活的？
