Abbott, Gillard and Swan play game on carbon tax
In the 2009 Sky News interview, Mr Tony Abbott said there were some benefits to a carbon tax and said it was preferable to other ways of pricing carbon. Deputy Prime Minister Wayne Swan said if Labor won the poll, there would not be a carbon tax during its next three years in power. Ms Julia Gillard seemed to go a step further. "There will be no carbon tax under the government I lead," she told Network Ten in August 2010.
