Maria Erkner has founded Germany’s first car dealership that employs only women. She and her colleagues all used to work in mechanics’ shops, where they were mostly patronized by their male colleagues. At the dealership "Senorita Maria", by contrast, women are taken seriously. But the customers are still almost all men. Women are buying more and more cars. Their share of new car licenses in Germany rose from 32 to 39 percent in the last four years. And the dealership "Senorita Maria" in Hennigsdorf near Berlin wants to profit from this trend. It aims to use women to appeal to women.
