A few minutes of game play from the 1995 Looking Glass studios classic System Shock. Unfortunately I had to record at a lower resolution than I wanted to; the video capture software was causing frame rate problems with the DOS emulator, but I think the low-res video masks it somewhat. In actuality game supports a then-amazing 640x480. History has been kinder to this game than its actual reception. The advanced 3D engine came with steep system requirements and the game fell under Doom's shadow. I still consider it to be one of the best PC games ever made. Even in this short clip you can see the foundation that Bioshock built on. (more...)
