醫管局行政總裁蘇利民表示，決定辭職並非受到任何壓力，而是私人理由，因為外父患病，妻子須要在澳洲照料，辭職後會返回澳洲，陪伴家人。 他又說，醫管局仍然有很多工作要做，但方向正確清晰，包括提供更先進的設施、病人服務、醫療工作改革等。
