In the wake of statements and news releases from the Westboro Baptist Church that they would picket the funeral for Joseph, Susan and James McAndrew, more than 30 people came to support the family and counteract the Westboro Baptist Church, whose members never showed up.rrWestboro Baptist Church of Kansas is known for protesting funerals, particularly those of soldiers, and the Supreme Court ruled earlier this month they have a right to hold their protests, which often blame people’s deaths on America’s “sins,” which they say, include homosexuality.rrThe McAndrews were killed on March 5 in their Gulph Mills home, allegedly, at the hands of their son and brother, 23-year-old Joseph McAndrew Jr., who friends and family say suffered from mental health issues.rVideo by Stephanie Farr / Daily News
