Moving fast in the pre-market session are shares of Vivus Inc up over 16% on news that its weight loss drug helps to reduce blood pressure; LaBarge up over 9% on news that it Ducommun will acquire the company for $305 million; and Star Scientific up over 5%. Shares of News Corp are down 2%; shares of Southwest Airlines are down 4% after the company said it found "small, subsurface cracks" in two jets during inspections; and shares of Omnivision Technologies are down 5% after announcing it bought Eastman Kodak patents for $65 million.
