Muslims in US Scale Down Eid Amid Controversies
Muslims in the United States are celebrating Eid-al-Fitr amid several controversies, including a week-long saga involving threats by an American clergymanr to burn Qurans and anger over plans to build a mosque in New York near the 2001 terrorist attacks. As VOA’s Nico Colombant reports festivities also overlapped with the ninth anniversary of those attacks by Islamic extremists.
