Gillian Caldwell, Executive Director of 1Sky, a campaign to support US federal action to address climate change, speaks with Link TV correspondent Miles Benson about the inadequate solutions to climate change being proposed. Caldwell says that in addition to dealing with mitigation, we need to also invest in adapting to a warming climate, particularly for the poorest and most marginalized communities where rising temperatures are affecting people first and worst. Former atmospheric standards set by the IPCC are no longer safe, and, Caldwell says, thinking needs to be reset if we are going to reduce the devastating consequences of climate change.
