卡根宣誓出任美國最高法院法官
美國歷史上第四位女性最高法院法官卡根宣誓，將於10月正式就職。 宣誓儀式由首席大法官羅伯茨主持，十多名親友觀禮。卡根宣誓維護司法公正。 儀式完畢後她展露笑容，親友起立鼓掌。 參議院早前以63票支持、37票反對，通過總統奧巴馬對卡根的提名，代替宣布退休的史蒂文斯。 美國最高法院擁有最高司法權，由一名首席法官和8名法官組成。
