PM confers with Madhes parties
Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal held a joint meeting with the Madhes-based parties at his office in Singha Durbar Sunday. The meeting discussed the current political situation of the country including the standoff in the prime ministerial election and the extension of United Nations Mission in Nepal (UNMIN)'s term. According to the PM’s press advisor Bishnu Rijal, the meeting was part of Nepal's fresh initiative to break the current political deadlock that has deepened with the standoff in the prime ministerial election.
