Bob has a day working at the yard building some window frames. He doesn’t need the help of the machines so he organises some errands for them. Meanwhile Spud the scarecrow is bored of standing around in the field all day long - he wants some action. He launches into a Karate routine, jumping around quite vigorously and doesn't notice when his turnip nose drops off and rolls down a mole hole. When Travis returns he notices there is something different about Spud but can't work out what. Dizzy is the first to point out to the mortified Spud that he is noseless. Kindly Dizzy organises a search party and on their travels the machines find various things that might make a suitable nose, a traffic cone, a corn on the cob and a bicycle horn. Luckily, the moles push Spud's nose back out of their mole hole and, to his delight, Spud is no longer noseless.
