Liberal MPs denied they were at fault. Peter Van Dusen discusses the issue with MPs Joe Comartin (NDP), Bob Dechert (Conservative), and Marlene Jennings (Liberal). Martin Stringer interviews New Democrat MP Irene Mathyssen on her private member’s bill on using severance pay for RRSP contributions, plus removing such payments from Employment Insurance calculations. Garfield Mahood, executive director of the Non-Smokers’ Rights Association, responds to news that Health Canada spent $3.6 million before deciding not to introduce new warning labels on tobacco products. Also:The Legislative Committee on Bill C-32 hears from students, publishers, the video game industry, the Quebec Bar, and John Manley, president and CEO of the Canadian Council of Chief Executives.
