仙台・光のページェント開幕
仙台市の「光のページェント」が３日、青葉区の定禅寺通で始まった。より長く楽しみたいという声に応え、昨年より９日早い開幕。今年からすべての電球が発光ダイオード（ＬＥＤ）になり、５５万個が１６０本のケヤキに取り付けられた。 ３１日までの期間中、午後５時半に点灯し、３０日までは同１１時まで、大みそかだけは深夜０時まで楽しめる。 定禅寺通のケヤキ並木が一斉に電飾で彩られると、見学に訪れた市民らから「わー」と歓声があがった。
