アフガニスタンのカルザイ大統領の弟で、南部カンダハル州議会の議長を務めていたアフメド・ワリ・カルザイ氏が12日、自宅で射殺された。地元メディアは、アフメド氏の警護担当者が銃撃したと伝えているが、反政府武装勢力タリバンが犯行を指示した疑いも浮上している。アフメド氏は、アフガン南部で絶大な影響力を持つ一方、麻薬取引や汚職への関与も取りざたされていた。
