Each year, the Schwab Foundation honors social entrepreneurs around the world - businessmen and women who support social causes. Kenny Low was named a social entrepreneur in Singapore.  The city-state provides substantial funding for school and university education, but some students fail to meet high academic standards. School drop-outs often find few opportunities besides odd jobs, and most can’t afford expensive private school tuition fees. Kenny Low's City College is giving young people a second chance. Instead of pressuring students to perform, his teaching method focuses on promoting self-confidence and optimism.
