When Herbert Joksch puts on his old uniform and gets into his BMW 501 patrol car, it’s as if he's stepping into another century. In the 1950s and 1960s, the Munich police department operated 17 of the big, powerful sedans popularly known as "baroque angels."They were retired after 10 years and an average 130,000 kilometers of service. Joksch, a retired Munich policeman, bought and lovingly restored one of those cars. drive it! joined him for a make-believe car-chase through the streets of Munich.
