The non-profit organization Entertainers 4 Education Alliance, together with hip-hop mogul Jim Jones, sponsored the Acheive Your Dreams Poetry Contest for students throughout the 5 boroughs of New York City.  In a packed Magic Johnson theatre in Harlem, finalists performed for a distinguished panel of judges, including Jim Jones, Russel Simmons, City Council Member Robert Jackson, amd Hip-Hop Summit founder and civil rights leader Rev. Benjamin Chavis. The winner received an internship at Jim Jones' record label, as well as a spot in the next season of Russel Simmons' reality TV show Def Poetry Jam.
