Penn National Jockey Killed In Car Crash Remembered At Race Track
Joseph Farley was killed in a one-car accident on his way to the track for training. Officials and family members gathered at Penn National Tuesday night for a special memorial that included a eulogy and a moment of silence. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Saint John’s United Methodist Church at 165 Firehouse Road in Grantville. Viewings will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and 1 to 2 p.m. Thursday at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions should be made to the Disabled Jockeys Fund, c/o Chaplain's Office, P.O. Box 88, Grantville, Pa. 17028. Click here for more information.
