London’s Kensington Palace - Time To Travel
This edition of Time To Travel visits London’s Kensington Palace in Hyde Park. King William III purchased the country home in 1689 to escape the pollution of the the city. It served as the royal residence until 1761 when Buckingham Palace took its place. Queen Victoria was born and grew up at Kensington. The Palace was also home to Princess Diana until her death in 1981. Nearby we visit the Albert Memorial and the Royal Albert Hall. The tour ends at Herrods, the worlds most famous department store.
