Veteran gets Purple Heart 60 years later
Conrad Podolski-Dowel earned a Purple Heart for his time serving in the Korean War. He was never awarded the medal until now. An official ceremony was held today in Northville and Dowel finally got his Purple Heart. ALEXANDRA BAHOU/Detroit Free Press
