Missile Strikes Target North Waziristan
Western intelligence officials say they have discovered a plot to launch commando-style terrorist attacks in Britain, France, Germany and possibly the United States. U.S. and British news reports say the strikes would have been similar to the 2008 attacks in Mumbai, India. Reports of the plot come at a time when unnamed U.S. officials say the CIA has carried out 20 drone strikes in Pakistan in September, the most in a single month. VOA’s Elizabeth Lee has more.
