Hello, I’m Senator Susan Collins. I've had the privilege of serving in the Senate since 1997 and am running for re-election next year. I'm originally from a northern Maine community called Caribou, but live now in Bangor. I travel home to Maine nearly every weekend to meet with my constituents and stay connected to my family and friends. Yet, I've never once — in more than 10 years in the Senate -- missed a single roll call vote. As a member of the Senate, I've authored bills to improve our homeland security, to help our small businesses and to expand access to health care. I've learned the importance of reaching across the aisle to find the best solutions to the issues our country faces.  I've had the privilege of fighting hard each and every day for Maine each and every day. And I want to continue that fight.
