August Holder – Capitalizing on Change
''August Holder'' was once just a small hardware store in Dresden. It survived both the bombings of 1945 and forty years of communist rule, remaining in private hands the whole time. After the Peaceful Revolution in 1989, the small company hit the ground running and made a splash in the new market economy. Today, August Holder is a wholesale distributor of machinery and engineering products. The current senior manager, who still comes to the company now, is the same man who decided to take a chance back in 1989 and 1990 and expand ''August Holder'' into a major player. Jürgen Schneider.
