Created by Jin Soo Yoon, a student in my "Animation ll" class at The University of the Arts in Philadelphia, for my "None of the Above" assignment, this slit scan was based largely on "The 4th Dimension" film (posted here several pages back) that I had shown him as an example of slit scan technique. He successfully translated what I had done on film into the equivalent on video using After Effects. After seeing it I suggested he make some minor changes and submit it as the opener for the school’s end of the semester Jr. film and animation show. He did, and this was the result. Very cool.  The filmmaker is also the actor.
