Martin Park Nature Center, OKC
This 140-acre nature park combines recreation, education and wildlife. Three hiking trails, a large prairie dog colony, bird observation wall and a watch tower are on site. Cottontail rabbits, deer, owls, foxes, squirrels, raccoons, opossum, skunk, coyote, muskrat, beaver and a variety of birds make Martin Park their home. Hiking trails lead visitors around a large pond filled with red-ear turtles, along a bubbling Spring Creek, beside wildflower meadows and through the park’s woodlands. Originally aired February 26, 2005.
