Kurdish Rebel Leader Warns of Return to Conflict
The leader of the rebel Kurdish group PKK warns of a return to conflict in Turkey if the newly re-elected government does not meet the group’s demands for Kurdish autonomy. Much of the focus in the election campaign was on the economy, but as Henry Ridgwell reports for VOA from Istanbul, the long-standing Kurdish issue could derail Turkey’s political progress.
