The first panel of the day examined the erosion of democracy and equality in Canada and featured Alex Neve, (Secretary general, Amnesty International-Canada), Olivia Nuamah (Executive Director, Atkinson Foundation), Paul Saurette (University of Ottawa) and Kate Rexe (Native Women’s Association of Canada).
