In Berlin’s traditional working class neighborhoods, left-wing extremist violence is on the rise. Young professionals are increasingly moving into these neighborhoods, causing the rents to rise and pushing out many of the old tenants. This is a thorn in the eye of the radical left wingers who are reacting by damaging new buildings and setting cars on fire. Unable to stop the violence, the police are now demanding a harder tack from politicians.
