Sight to sound
Using a video format to display my final images, the brief was to illustrate a piece of music of our choice. Immediately Caribou’s 'Sun' sprung to mind, anyone who listens to the song can feel the uplifting synths throughout so obviously my aim at the end of my presentation was to have people walk away feeling slightly lighter and more optimistic about the world. I took my inspiration from warm orange and yellow tinted outdoor photography. While i was looking into that sort of thing i kept coming across images from the 60's which was when i decided to properly delve into the peace and love era. The culture and fashion were crying out to be replicated so i decided to go to my local Abhakan in Liverpool to get some fabrics that would mildly resemble the same sort of thing so that there was some texture to my images.
