Holiday Inn Holidome could lose name
The Holiday Inn Holidome is the largest hotel in Lawrence. However, the hotel's owner, Lodgian incorporated, may not resign the hotel when its contract is up in August. The hotel was built in 1982, and needs several upgrades in order for Lodgian to keep it under the Holiday Inn name. If the upgrades are too costly Lodgian may sell it to whomever is interested. General manager Stephen Horton said the hotel will succeed regardless of the name.
