14名大專學者聯署聲明冀政府撤回政改方案
14名在大專院校任教的學者發表聯署聲明，表示民主黨及普選聯的區議會方案，不會對香港的政制帶來實質進步，因為缺乏認受性的功能組別議員，可以繼續在分組點票中行使否決權，方案亦無助實現終極普選。 有份聯署的學者包括浸大新聞系的杜耀明，身兼公民黨秘書長的中大學者陳家洛，及身兼公民黨執委的城大學者鄭宇碩。 他們認為，方案公布得太倉促，而且有很多細節問題，例如提名機制尚未解決，缺乏與市民深入討論的前期工作。他們期望，政黨及學者先要求政府撤回方案，讓市民有空間討論，達至真普選。
