“WORLD MYTHOLOGY – THE BIBLE OF THE MAN WITHOUT FAITH” BUDDHA - “WORLD MYTHOLOGY – THE BIBLE OF THE MAN WITHOUT FAITH” BUDDHA On stage appears Buddha[1], dressed in old, worn-out Asian clothes.   BUDDHA I was a flower kept in the garden – Cared for and sprinkled with lemonade. My fingers and neck – They decorated – WITH PRECIOUS STONES. My father – the mighty KING – Was proud of my body. When I was still a baby – he said: “This beloved son of mine – Will become the head of this land – Wood and stones – Shall be in fear and trembling of him.” In the palace garden – where I grew up – There were only – BIRDS AND FLOWERS. I was amazed about the gift of the almighty GOD Who gave to us people a PARADISE. I was naughty – like every child – Once I fled out of my father’s garden – Only then did I see the FLOWER OF LIFE. Millions of ROSES – cut by a sickle – BEAUTIFUL – FRAGRANT – GRIEVED ONES. I started walking on that “GARBAGE DUMP” As my father called it – And then I threw my silk and gold away. I dressed myself in the rags of a beggar. In the palace garden of my father – That was surrounded by high walls – IT WAS A PARADISE – IT WAS SO MAGNIFICENT – THAT MY EYES WERE “BLINDED”. Only when the rags of the BEGGAR Shed the smell over my body – I SAW ANEW – I HEARD ANEW – How the fields of cut ROSES – With hungry faces – cry out for help. I will never take leave again – Of the smell – OF THE BEGGAR’S RAGS – Because every hole in his clothes – IS WORTH MORE THAN PRECIOUS STONES. The Buddha leaves. THE MAN WITHOUT FAITH The scent of the beggar’s rags – Is an honor for the prince – While you there below – SPECTATORS IN THE DARKNESS – Still BOW for the perfume. This Buddha who through the past SENDS the message to everyone – Still – with tear-filled eyes – WATER – BROKEN ROSES.
