Liberia’s tourism industry struggles to stand
Hotel Africa — once the pride of Liberia and it’s promising tourist industry. Looted during the country's civil war, the place has been left to the birds and the encroaching sea. Visitors to the country are now of a very different sort: UN troops to keep the peace and foreign companies to rebuild Liberia's shattered infrastructure. With a budget of only a few thousand dollars a year, it's no surprise tourism officials are frustrated
