The Johns Hopkins Tutorial Project
The Johns Hopkins Tutorial Project has been helping city school students with their studies since 1958, making it the longest-running program of its kind in Baltimore. Through the years, the project has served more than 5,000 students, pairing them with Johns Hopkins University undergraduates to receive one-on-one help in reading, math, and geography. Approximately 100 children come to the Homewood campus twice a week during the school year for an hour of activities and educational games tailored to meet each child’s needs.
