'Failed suicide note' of Charles Baudelaire
Charles Pierre Baudelaire (9 April 1821 - 31 August 1867) was a nineteenth century French poet, critic, and translator. His book of poetry Les fleurs du mal (The Flowers of Evil), have been acknowledged as classics of French literature. Henri Gros, Auctioneer says Baudelaire’s suicide note is a treasure that has been dug up after almost 142 years. If Baudelaire had been successful in his suicide attempt French literature would have never had the Fleurs du Mal.
