A jury has convicted former Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich of nearly all the corruption charges against him.They included trying to sell the US Senate seat that belonged to Barack Obama after he gave it up to accept the presidency.Blagojevich had denied any intention of bribery.Abdon Pallasch, a political reporter at the Chicago Sun-Times newspaper, told BBC Radio 5 live: "Everyone predicted this was going to happen.""It was 20 counts and the trial had gone on for a couple of months," Pallasch told Rhod Sharp on Wake Up To Money."The evidence was just so overwhelming."You can hear other BBC Radio 5 live highlights by visiting the Best Bits section on the website.Up All Night broadcasts seven days a week 0100 - 0400 on BBC Radio 5 live.
