The Opening Show at Epcot in Walt Disney World is the smallest of all the openings at Walt Disney World. Usually some characters come out to meet the guests and welcome them to the park and a family is chosen to be the Family of the Day. They ride past the crowd right before rope drop in a Test Track vehicle. The real advantage of making it for the opening show is getting a head start on the crowds that will stream in the rest of the day. A lot can be accomplished in the first few hours the park is open.
