Apple IPad2 exploit hoax
Apple appears to have foiled an iPad 2 jailbreak that arrived just three days after the device’s launch in the US. A hacker known as 'Comex' boasted shortly after the iPad 2 launch. The hacker was quoted as saying, "I Would've had it yesterday if I didn't have to spend 1.5 days looking for a replacement exploit", before posting a video showing a white iPad 2 running Cydia, an app used to download other iOS devices. However, now it looks like the party's over,as a quick update from Apple in the iOS 4.3.1 firmware update has patched the exploit. Apple shares are up 0.52 to $350.96.
