The Salvos perform here tributes to Eddie Cochran and The Shadows, in the second slice of their Glastonbury show, in January 2011. The Salvos were Somerset(UK)s top band in the early 60s. They re formed in 2004 after being featured in a book on local Rock N Roll.The original band comprises Brian Mapstone Guitar/Vocal, Nik Ponsillo Bass/Vocal, Mike Argent Lead Guitar, and John Lacey Drums. Lead Singer Eddy Dark (Ron Fellows) Retired in 2010. Brian’s son Simon joined on Keyboards in 2006,Latest member is Sheffield born Guitarist and singer John Barlow..Apart from Simon the band are all aged between 65 and 70.They appeared at Glastonbury with Current local top function band FAIRPLAY.
