After moving back into their family’s San Francisco mansion, sisters Prue (Shannen Doherty), Piper (Holly Marie Combs) and Phoebe (Alyssa Milano) discover an ancient text in the home's attic that reveals the latent supernatural powers possessed by each of them. While honing their skills of enchantment so that they can use them to combat evil, the siblings — later joined by half-sister Paige (Rose McGowan) -- pretend to be regular folks.
