有「地鐵市長」之稱的深圳前市長許宗衡，在任職期間，幾乎插手所有深圳的大型工程，貪污的金額高達20多億元。由於案情嚴重，許宗衡將被判處死刑。不過，輿論認為，中共把許宗衡和原重慶市公安局副局長文強一樣，判處死刑，更多的是出於政治考量。
