Metro FM "MOVE" Campaign - Azania
Following the Loerie advertising awards last weekend, Masters & Savant is proud to announce that the judging panel of top experts saw it fit to award the agency a silver loerie award for their Metro FM "BOOM BOX" campaign. The 2005 Loerie Award ceremony was the first time the animation greenhouse entered the awards, and received no less than 5 nominations for outstanding work achieved for their Metro FM campaigns. During the award ceremony the judging panel stated that the judging process was made even more difficult to ensure that future campaigns pushed the limits even further. Masters & Savant’s silver Loerie was therefore the highest accolade achieved in the animation category, with no work receiving a gold award. Masters & Savant's general manager Reto Reolon states, "We are by no means disappointed with the silver Loerie. We are pleased that the judges are pushing the bar higher for all creative agencies in order for the level if work to be among the best in the world. This silver Loerie proves that we are one of the best animation agencies in the country." Roger Smythe, Masters & Savant executive producer concludes that, "The four nominations that we did not receive awards for will motivate us even further to come back next year with a vengeance. The international animation gold Loerie winner Weiden and Kennedy for the Honda Grrr commercial once again proved that animation is being pushed to centre stage. We are determined to keep the rise of animation steady in South Africa."
