Robot 100cm There-and-Back Sprint (No PWM) - GS, 2007
In Chapter 11 of my textbook, my students learn how to get their robots moving. Here is a video of my student Michael Tseng's attempt to get his Mouse robot to run a 100-cm There-and-Back sprint. Note that the robots have trouble going in a straight line. This will be corrected when the students get to Chapter 13 and learn how to incorporate pulsewidth modulation (PWM) techniques. Robodyssey Systems manufactures the Mouse robot and RAMB II motherboard you see here. The robot's brain is NetMedia's BX-24 microcontroller, which is programmed using the BasicX language. I am the author of the world's only BasicX textbook; if you are interested in learning how to program your own robot, see my website at www.basicxandrobotics.com.
