In 2004, noted garden writer Nancy Ross Hugo came together with Jeff Kirwan, professor of forestry at Virginia Tech, to start off a project that would result in the book, “Remarkable Trees of Virginia.” The project and the resulting book are a collection of Virginia’s most remarkable trees and four years of tireless efforts.
