Defeated Nigerian candidate distances self from riots
The Muslim opposition candidate in Nigeria’s presidential election, Muhammadu Buhari, said Wednesday he did not instigate post-poll violence that a local rights group says has killed more than 200. Buhari also alleged rigging in the weekend ballot in which he lost to incumbent Goodluck Jonathan. Excerpts from Buhari's comments to press. (AFP TV World)
