Boeing’s (NYSE:BA) commercial airplanes chief Jim Albaugh had a meeting with American Airlines this week as the manufacturer attempts to stop one of its top customers from placing an order with competitor Air Bus SAS."They're a great customer and obviously we want to keep them," Albaugh said of his meeting with Gerard Arpey, the chairman and chief executive officer of American Airlines.Boeing still has to think about whether to provide new engines on the 737 airplanes or make an additional new aircraft by 2020.
