Arbitration cases in Hong Kong are up by 14% so far this year, and that’s expected to grow as fallout from the financial crisis continues. The profile of the arbitration and mediation cases has grown with the Lehman Brothers mini-bond saga, as people are expected to go that route. Money Magazine takes a look at processes and what changes may be coming. About US$185 million was pledged from the countries attending the Clinton Global Initiative in Hong Kong. It's the first time the conference was held outside the us. Since the initiative began in 2005, almost US$50 billion has been pledged towards various causes such as access to education, reducing carbon emmissions, deforestation and disaster relief.
