Ecuador: Biodiversity Conservation
In the Andes mountains of Ecuador, indigenous communities are improving people’s livelihoods and preserving the environment with help of a furry four-legged friend: the Alpaca. The animals do not damage the grasslands they inhabit, an important water source for the region, and their thick fleece provides a sustainable source of income for the community.
