The sixth annual Labatt Blue/USA Hockey Pond Hockey National Championships took place Feb. 11, 2011 on Dollar Lake in Eagle River, Wis. A record 250 teams played in approximately 480 pond hockey games on 24 outdoor rinks created on Dollar Lake during the three-day event. This years Labatt Blue/USA Hockey Pond Hockey National Championships includes 250 teams featuring nearly 1750 adult hockey players from four countries. In 2009, the tournament’s widespread reach was recognized, when it received SportTravel Magazine's 2009 SportsTravel Award for the best amateur single-sport event. This year, the teams hail from Austria, Canada, the District of Columbia and 25 states, including Arizona, California, Maryland, North Carolina and South Carolina, with the majority coming from Illinois and Wisconsin.
